Nivedita Ashok | MACP RCC
Hello, I’m Nivedita. I’m a South Asian, BIPOC therapist, born and raised in India, and now living in Canada after graduating my Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Adler University.
As an immigrant woman of colour, I know how powerful it is to feel truly seen, heard, and supported — especially when you’re navigating the in-between spaces of culture, identity, and where you belong.
For over 8 years, I’ve worked with people from different cultures and walks of life, going through trauma and abuse, women’s issues, intimate partner violence, suicide ideation, anxiety, grief and loss, cultural challenges, and those quiet struggles that don’t always get noticed.
I offer a warm, intuitive, and collaborative space, grounded in cultural sensitivity with deep respect for your story. Here, you don’t have to explain away your feelings or prove your pain — your presence is enough. Healing unfolds at its own pace, and I’m here to walk alongside you in that process.
I use a mix of approaches like Gestalt Therapy, nature-based work, somatic practices, and Internal Family Systems to support healing in your mind, body, and spirit. I also welcome spirituality into the room when it feels meaningful to you.
Whether you’re working through past pain, getting to know yourself better, or trying to navigate life with more ease, I trust that you already have a lot of wisdom within you. We’ll go at a pace that feels safe, kind, and right for you.
